Life is stressful. That's just true. Work, family, the news, the mental load of approximately everything — it adds up.
Here's what I do about it. I sit down, I pick up some fabric, and I piece. Not to finish something. Not to be productive. Just because the rhythm of it quiets everything else down.
This is my reminder of that. For the quilter who already knows that the machine is the answer — she just sometimes needs to remember to sit down at it.
