Spinning Leaves Table Runner

Fall colors, your way. Make it in two colors for a clean, graphic look, three for a little more depth, or pull from your scraps and let every leaf be different. The pattern walks you through all three, so you can pick whichever fits your fabric (or your mood).

Every leaf and every pinwheel is made from half square triangles. That's really it. Once you're comfortable with HSTs, the whole runner is just a matter of arranging them so the leaves look like they're tumbling down the table... with a few pinwheels spinning along beside them.
